Brief about The Community Rehabilitation and Empowerment Vehicle (CREV)

CREV was established and registered on 18th February, 2022 after the realization that various communities, including single mothers, unskilled youths, children, elderly, and disabled are facing many challenges in different areas ranging from economic, cultural, environmental, social, rule and order, to those that are related to human rights. On this basis, CREV was formed for the purpose of addressing these challenges by undertaking to support, promote, and contribute towards the human development of such groups. The organization is non-profit and was registered as a Non-Governmental Organization under the Non-Governmental Organizations Act, No. 24 of 2002. The location and the physical address of its head office are:

Mahakamani Street, House # 94, Vikenge Village, Mzumbe Ward, Mvomero District, Morogoro Region. P.O. Box 167, Mzumbe, Tanzania.

The mission of CREV is to work with the target groups and different stakeholders to improve the quality of life of different people in Tanzania.

Assisting single mothers for them to become self-reliant is one of the leading goals CREV strives for. The picture below shows the CREV Executive Secretary handing over 10 kgs of rice seeds to a single mother of 5 children whose father deserted them several years ago. The mother was encouraged by CREV Management to use the seeds in paddy farm she had prepared for her family. In addition, CREV also offered her some cash (Tshs. 10,000) to help her with immediate needs
